Christina Brown is a wife, mother of three, salon owner, stylist, nail tech, and make up artist. Her passion for beauty started at an early age. She worked as an assistant in her family's salon as a young teenager and quickly fell in love with the industry. She attended prosser during high school then enrolled at PJ's College of Cosmetology located in Jeffersonville, IN to complete her cosmetology training & become a licensed cosmetologist & salon owner. Christina graduated from PJ's College of Cosmetology after repeatedly appearing on the Dean's and Honor's List in June 2011.

While Christina lives a very full life and stays busy as sports mom, business owner and volunteer, she loves going in to work everyday. "When you do something that you love, there is never a day where you wake up wishing you didn't have to work" is her typical response when asked how / why she works so much. Her daughters Johna & Brooklyn also enjoy having a stylist and nail tech for a mom and a salon at their finger tips to keep up with whatever new styles are trending.

She specializes in color and cutting edge style. Her work is always current and on trend! Whether you want to experiment with extreme color and fun nails or relax with a spa pedicure and facial, she has you covered! She is an expert in body waxing as well as custom airbrush tanning.

Christina loves the charming historic downtown Jeffersonville where her salon is located. The triangle building where The SALON is located has been in existence for over 120 years and was originally a train station. She has dedicated herself to making Jeffersonville and the surrounding area a more beautiful place.

Paula Milby, Est Grad:

Paula was the first graduate in the Esthetics program at PJ'S College of Cosmetology in Jeffersonville Indiana. She attributes her success to her instructor Ms. Nelica. "I have much appreciation and gratitude for the Jeffersonville staff as they taught me the skills to be successful, encouraged my dreams and continuously supports me."

Paula graduated in 2011 and was able to begin her life dream in skincare. After graduation, Paula rented for two years to gain experience and build her clientele. Her desire to own her own spa continuously grew and eventually came true two years later when she opened her original spa. Her career took off and she quickly outgrew the facility. With lots of hard work and support from family, friends and clients, Paula has been rewarded with an even bigger spa. She discovered that education does not end with graduation and her goals continue to grow as her success. Paula continues to seek advanced education and has gone on to receive other certifications such as Cosmetic Teeth Whitening. Also, she is a certified Eyelash Extension Technician. Paula has recently enrolled in a class for skin exfoliation using dermablade and advanced chemical peels.

Christina Basham is currently a licensed cosmetologist and manager at Fiesta Salons located in Madison, IN. Christina enrolled at PJ's College of Cosmetology in Jeffersonville, IN from 2010-2011. She graduated with exemplary attendance and a GPA of 95! Christina highly recommends PJ's College in Jeffersonville and would not have considered any other schools. While Cosmetology was not her first career choice, it quickly became her favorite! Her plan was to obtain her Cosmetology license so that she could work part time in efforts to pursue another dream. However, after attending school and getting into the field, she fell in love with the work, people and success. She felt she was exactly where she wanted to be and could not imagine doing anything else! Christina currently resides and works in Madison, Indiana.

Heather Rager, Cos Grad:

Clarksville — Heather Rager in Indianapolis, IN
Heather Rager, co-owner of Tease N' Tangles Salon located in Charlestown, Indiana graduated from New Washington High School in 2008 and immediately knew what she wanted to do for the rest of her life! Following graduation, Heather enrolled in PJ's College of Cosmetology, Clarksville Campus where she worked hard to master the skills necessary to be a successful stylist. She graduated from PJ's College of Cosmetology at the top of her class in 2009. Heather worked very hard to build her clientele for 3 years as a booth renter at a local salon. Heather married her high school sweetheart Ryan on October 6, 2012. In April of 2013, Heather decided to partner with three of her colleagues to open their dream salon located at 840 Main Street in Charlestown, IN. They have poured their heart and soul into this salon and pride themselves on catering to their client's every need. They hope to be the community go-to salon to not only give the clients the look they desire but also the service they need. On May 1, 2014, Heather and Ryan had their first "Miracle" baby on May 1st, 2014! Kynslee was born three months early at 1lb and 15 oz. Heather now only works four days a week at the salon so she can have a little extra time with Kynslee.

Emma Ernst, Cos Grad:

Emma Martin is the Proprietor of Simply Natural Salon & Spa located in downtown Madison Indiana. Emma was homeschooled in southern Indiana with her 3 older brothers. Following completion of her schooling in 2009, she enrolled at PJ's College of Cosmetology in Clarksville and after 11 months received her license. After 5 years of working at several salons Emma decided to pursue her dream of opening her own salon. Her vision was to create an environment that was unique and hip yet relaxing and pleasant. In addition to her vision for the salon atmosphere, Emma had a passion for organic, natural, and responsible products which she would feel confident using on herself as well as her clients, products without chemicals or synthetic wastes. Simply Natural Salon & Spa opened in September of 2013. Emma says, "Not only do we care for ourselves, we care for our clients. Who wants to sit in a chair for an hour or so breathing in harsh, potentially hazardous chemicals and worrying about what is being put on your hair and skin?" Simply Natural is a registered SURFACE salon retailer and offers organic hair color from the UK as well. In addition to Emma, there are four other hair stylists and one esthetician. Simply Natural is a full service salon and spa offering cutting, color, texture, styling, waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials, chemical peels, and individual eyelash extensions.

Brooklyn Miller, Cos Grad:

Brooklyn Miller grew up in Salem, Indiana and graduated from Salem High School in xxxx. From the time she was born, she has lived with her mom in her mom's salon that she has now owned for 20 years. As Brooklyn grew older, she realized she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps. She knew what her chosen career entailed and it definitely suited her aspirations. During her senior year at Salem High School, she made a decision to attend PJ's College of Cosmetology in Clarksville to pursue her dream. She considered many different Cosmetology schools but felt from the beginning that PJ's College of Cosmetology was the place for her.

Upon entering school, she knew she wanted to open her own salon but she wanted to ensure success and wanted the perfect location. She graduated from PJ's on May 8th and after months of searching, she found a building in Salem to remodel. Making the biggest decision of her life, she decided to remodel and turn what was an ordinary building into her very own posh salon. It was extremely stressful and overwhelming at times but once it was finished it was all worth it. By June 1st she had her grand opening.

Opening up a charming salon at such a young age took a lot of courage and determination. She contributes her success to her mother for being such a strong role model and PJ's College of Cosmetology in Clarksville Indiana for making her dreams come true.

Whitney Calhoun, Cos Grad:

Crestwood — Whitney Calhoun in Indianapolis, IN
Whitney Calhoun is a master cosmetologist and the owner of Dimensions Salon located in Shelbyville, KY. She was raised and currently resides in Henry County, Kentucky with her husband and 9 year old daughter. Whitney started cosmetology school at PJ's College of Cosmetology in Crestwood in January 2011, and from the first day had a passion for the profession. She graduated in just 12 short months and began her apprenticeship at Dimensions on May 1st 2012. Just two years later, on November 1st 2014, Whitney bought the salon at 28 years old. She has a true love for cosmetology and can't imagine having any other career. There is no greater satisfaction than having the opportunity to make her clients feel beautiful everyday. Whitney attributes her success to hard work, dedication, and her instructors at PJ's College that laid the foundation she needed to succeed.

Louisville:

Angelina Leezer, Cos Grad:

Louisville — Angelina Leezer in Indianapolis, IN
Angelina Leezer, a mother of 2 girls, like any other mother has wanted nothing but the best for them. She has encouraged her girls to pursue each and every dream. Angelina watched her youngest daughter graduate from high school and start her cosmetology career at PJ's College of Cosmetology. She became interested in everything that her daughter was learning. It looked like such fun and she grew more intrigued by the cosmetology world. In 2013, Angelina made the decision to get her G.E.D. and at 46 years of age, she enrolled at PJ's College of Cosmetology in March. She attributes her elevated skill level and success to not only PJ's teaching staff but to the state-of-the-art Pivot Point curriculum. Angelina graduated in May of 2014 and instantly began looking for a salon to apprentice in/a master stylist to study under. Her search led her to Ciao Bella Salon and Master Stylist/Salon owner Greg Combs. She could not imagine a more perfect salon and therefore calls Cia Bella her home. Ciao Bella is a Summit Salon, which means they receive non-stop education that will help her further and grow her own personal business. Education is a large part of their everyday life in the salon. Angelina has trained with Redken national educators such as Kris Sorbie (who invented the balayage highlight trend) and Lauren Hagan (national educator in color and cut for Redken). They have been given the opportunity to learn from other educators ranging everything from men's haircuts to formal finishing and updo's.

Ciao Bella Salon is a certified Redken and Eufora salon and is an elite Redken Summit Salon. There are less than a handful of Redken Summit salons in Louisville, KY.

In the short amount of time she has been working for Cia Bella, Angelina has become certified in Redken product knowledge, Eufora Product knowledge and the Redken color line.
